Ideal location with convenient park and ride enabling access to York city without the expensive parking charges. Mrs T, Colwyn Bay, Clwyd 08 March 2011
Location and value for money are both excellent. Visited for the third year running and will be booking again for next year.
Mrs R, Deeside, Clwyd 26 February 2011
Very good location and attractive setting. Also great if you are a fishing person! Mrs H, Ely, Cambridgeshire 11 October 2010
Great location, very close to town by bus, local Tesco only 5 mins walk away. Miss W, HORLEY, Surrey 19 September 2010
The park was gorgeous, and the settings, the peace and quiet and the staff were all great. The location was great for the park and ride into York, just a few minutes by bus, you can walk to the park and ride or park for free. The park was great for a romantic break away with a loved one or family. The lake was lovely, and it was brilliant being in the great outdoors - it had peace but you can still have the hustle and bustle of York too. Miss H, BARNSLEY, South Yorkshire 02 March 2010
The holiday was excellent and the views over the lake were stunning. Our dog loved it too and I would definitely recommend others to try it. Mrs M, GOOLE, North Humberside 27 January 2010
A beautiful park in a prime location for visiting York, with a handy park and ride bus service every 10 minutes, (walk and ride for us). A well maintained cottage with lovely homely touches on arrival, including fresh flowers and a tea tray. I am already booking our next weekend at the Lakeside Lodges and have recommended it to friends. Mrs M, Warrington, Cheshire 27 November 2009
We only had five days but wished it had been longer & hope to go again in the not to distant future. Lovely cottage, well equipped, nice & cosy, handy for food shopping (Tesco) & travelling into York on the park & ride. We did not move our car all the time we were there. Mrs M, Newark, Notts 14 November 2009
If you want a relaxing time with peace and quiet this holiday is the one for you. Mrs B, Honiton 13 September 2008
Excellent location, near enough to enjoy the pleasures of York but felt that you were in a green oasis. Well worth a visit and base to explore the region. Mrs H, Coventry, West Midlands 14 July 2008
Its a great location with easy access into York using the nearby park and ride system. Mrs S, Berwick upon Tweed, Northumberland 03 March 2008
The park was excellent, and being so close to York town with the park and ride only walking distance away, it is an excellent and beautiful situation. I would heartily recommend it, and would definitely return! Mr D, Tredegar, Gwent 25 February 2008
A great 'getaway from it all' place - and close to the park and ride bus route which runs every 10 minutes into the centre of York. Mrs F, Bedale, North Yorkshire 18 February 2008
