The park was gorgeous, and the settings, the peace and quiet and the staff were all great. The location was great for the park and ride into York, just a few minutes by bus, you can walk to the park and ride or park for free. The park was great for a romantic break away with a loved one or family. The lake was lovely, and it was brilliant being in the great outdoors - it had peace but you can still have the hustle and bustle of York too.

The holiday was excellent and the views over the lake were stunning. Our dog loved it too and I would definitely recommend others to try it.

A beautiful park in a prime location for visiting York, with a handy park and ride bus service every 10 minutes, (walk and ride for us). A well maintained cottage with lovely homely touches on arrival, including fresh flowers and a tea tray. I am already booking our next weekend at the Lakeside Lodges and have recommended it to friends.

We only had five days but wished it had been longer & hope to go again in the not to distant future. Lovely cottage, well equipped, nice & cosy, handy for food shopping (Tesco) & travelling into York on the park & ride. We did not move our car all the time we were there.

Excellent location, near enough to enjoy the pleasures of York but felt that you were in a green oasis. Well worth a visit and base to explore the region.

The park was excellent, and being so close to York town with the park and ride only walking distance away, it is an excellent and beautiful situation. I would heartily recommend it, and would definitely return!

A great 'getaway from it all' place - and close to the park and ride bus route which runs every 10 minutes into the centre of York.
